Ceylon III - ARALY
A collaborative project between Tuhirangi Blair & KAUKAU.
Lucky Dip & KAUKAU present the Ceylon shirt's third edition, titled 'Araly'
With 'Araly', KAUKAU co-owner Prakashan has provided further context with his continued expression of personal identity as a Sri Lankan New Zealander. Sri Lankan dress has always been a common and unique identifier as a migrant growing up in Aotearoa, and one not often celebrated. This collaboration with Lucky Dip allowed Prakashan to reimagine subcontinent fabrics as shirting linked to his heritage, to form a recollection of memories and moments that are undeniably Sri Lankan.
